James E. Arnold & Associates will consider a variety of fee arrangements depending on the nature of the case. We offer our clients a range of creative billing options to suit the needs of businesses and individuals desiring our legal services.

Contingent Fee Litigation

It is our privilege to provide legal service to injured victims on a contingent fee basis. That means we are paid only if you are paid. If we do not obtain a recovery for you, we are not paid. We usually advance all expenses necessary to vigorously prosecute your case. If there is a recovery, the expenses we advanced are paid from your percentage of any recovery. If you are not paid, then James E. Arnold & Associates will absorb the costs and expenses.

Hourly Rate Litigation

Most of our business and commercial litigation is performed on an hourly rate basis. Statements for services are rendered monthly. Statements also include the expenses that were incurred for the previous month.

Blended Fee Litigation

Occasionally we provide legal services under a blended fee arrangement, which involves a reduced hourly fee coupled with a percentage of any recovery obtained. Expenses for blended fee litigation are billed monthly.

Pro Bono Litigation

We have accepted cases in the past where no compensation was expected to be paid. The type of case that may be performed on a pro bono basis must involve the vindication of an important legal right or societal concept. Such cases are accepted on a case-by-case basis and in the sole discretion of James E. Arnold & Associates.
