Doug Billings is a highly skilled attorney with the firm's business litigation department, representing clients in all areas of complex business and real estate matters. He brings 15 years of valued courtroom experience for both plaintiffs and defendants to the practice.

Doug has earned a respected reputation for his work as plaintiff's counsel to several large restaurant chains following some of the nation's most high-profile food borne illness outbreaks. Notable clients have included Jack In The Box, Sizzler, Chi-Chi's, Sheetz and Pat & Oscar's. With Doug's aggressive assistance, these clients have recovered lost profits and other expenses totaling more than $100 million from the upstream suppliers of contaminated food products.

In addition to his representation of restaurant chains, Doug has successfully litigated cases on behalf of a myriad of business and real estate interests, with total recoveries in excess of $200 million. Doug's practice has involved state, federal and bankruptcy court cases and arbitrations in numerous jurisdictions across the country, including Ohio, California, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

His credits also include two years as the Director of Regulatory Affairs for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the nation's largest business federation. In this capacity, Doug acted as a Washington, DC-based lobbyist, working on behalf of the business community to improve the fairness and efficiency of the federal regulatory system. Active in the law community, he has also served as a San Diego Superior Court Judge Pro Tem, as a volunteer deputy district attorney, and as co-chair of both national and local bar association committees. Prior to entering law school in 1990, Doug worked as an administrator in the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
