Appellate Practice

Our firm has extensive experience in successfully arguing matters before the Ohio Courts of Appeals, the Ohio Supreme Court, and Federal Appellate Courts. We have handled matters arising from direct appeals of our trials and have also been retained to brief and argue matters in the appellate courts. Appellate areas include business disputes, taxation, constitutional challenges, ERISA, and professional licensure. The firm is well versed in all aspects of an appeal including procedural requirements, briefing, oral argument, drafting memoranda in support of jurisdiction and opposing jurisdiction at the Ohio Supreme Court, amicus briefing, as well as en banc and certiorari practice in the federal court system. We frequently collaborate with counsel outside of the firm.
